The secret to balancing life and fitness

The secret to balancing life and fitness

Taking care of yourself and working toward meaningful goals shouldn’t “compete” with the rest of your life. It should make the rest of your life BETTER.

We have one life. What’s going on at work affects what happens at home. Our health affects our friendships. World events affect our stress levels, which then affects our health. Mental health has a direct impact on everything. You get the idea. You can’t keep everything in boxes, separate from everything else, without intense mental strain and conflict.

I don’t believe in balance. I believe in designing your ideal life, with everything positively impacting everything else. Being healthy and fit and pushing yourself to become more than you are has a cascading effect into the rest of your life.

Make small changes to improve your health and you’ll wake up in a few months or years and wonder how things got so good.

This takes a LOT of work. But the alternative is going through life letting everyone and everything else pull you in every direction. I know I don’t want that, and I doubt you do either.
