Training for the police academy is tough. Not only do you have to worry about being in shape, but you have all the other life stress that comes with a career change and going into a tactical occupation.

I created this 12 week program to take care of the physical preparation for you. You can’t prepare for much of what you’ll experience in the academy. But you can prepare physically. At most academies, the physical training is pretty cut and dry. Your goal isn’t just to pass, though.

You should prepare to the absolute best of your ability.

This program will give you a roadmap. You just have to put in the work.

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for the aspiring police officer who is preparing for the police academy and/or a physical fitness test. Every agency has their own PT test requirements and academy, but this program will prepare you for the most common physical tasks you’ll encounter.

Law enforcement is physically, mentally, and psychologically demanding. The better prepared you are physically, the more resilient you’ll be when facing the inevitable obstacles of the job.

This is especially true in the academy. You’ll be in a new environment with little outside support. You’ll be learning lots of new, unfamiliar skills that will take time to master. You’ll be studying law and taking exams. And on top of all this, you’ll constantly be hounded by instructors and receive lots of negative feedback with physical “corrective action.”

If you’re prepared physically, you’ll draw less negative attention to yourself from your instructors. Don’t be the girl or guy that’s always falling out of formation on your runs. Be there to help your classmates succeed.

This 12 week program will prepare you for the rigors of most any police academy. Every agency is different, and I can’t anticipate every physical challenge you’ll face, but this program will make you into a well-rounded trainee to conquer whatever obstacles get thrown at you.
